The hydraulic system is the brain of your equipment and needs to be running efficiently and smoothly always to get the most production. Hydraulic equipment works very hard and when it is not working hurts productivity and your profits. Most of the time, getting your hydraulic equipment up and running again can be a simple fix. This is because hydraulic systems and the equipment they are installed in are carefully engineered and built so that they have a very high safety level. Because they are incredibly engineered and built, they do not often fail catastrophically, and if it does, it often means a significant repair or a complete replacement. When hydraulic equipment does fail, its normally due to broken small parts that are easily replaceable. Failed pressure valves, or actuators, hoses or connections are also common failures and are inexpensive and easy to change. Another common failure is leaking hydraulic fluid.
Hydraulic fluid throughout your hydraulic system is just light oil that prevents corrosion and foaming in the system. There is motion everywhere in your hydraulic system, which increases the potential of a hydraulic fluid leak. On nearly all parts of your hydraulic system there is a seal or gasket that keeps the hydraulic fluid in. From constant use and motion, these seals and gaskets begin to wear over time, causing the hydraulic fluid to leak. This common problem is easily preventable and easily fixable if it does happen.
Before you begin to order a replacement seal or gasket for every part of your hydraulic system, there are Hydraulic Stop Leak products that can seal leaks and restore dried and cracked rubber seals. These products are specifically made for hydraulic systems and will not clog or harm them.
